Installing CFW enabler 1.3 can possibly brick the psp, then you will need to insert the pandora and press L to unbrick it

Re: PSP Warning
Really? I thought CFW enabler doesn't touch any official firmware files and only writes a few files next to them. Didn't have any problems as of yet, but I'm using version 3.20.
A question about the pandora battery: Can you simply use it as a regular battery? It seems to be the only 1800mAh battery that I can find for the psp slim.

yes
The Custom firmware enabler does work, the mistake was that I tried to load it using m33-6 (after I installed chickhen r2 previous). The only reason was to try out the "region-free" plugin, but that didn't work.
They have a slim version of the pandora in some modchip stores (modchip.ca). I am unsure about what the chart says, and there is an option (vsh menu) that you can use to softmod the slim battery to a pandora. My motherboard is hackable, but it cannot create a pandora (TA-88V2). I would probably need to find a psp that will turn the slim battery into a pandora.
To answer your question, the pandora battery can be used just as any other battery, only it's set to service mode.
Reference:
The Vsh menu 2.00 is the latest, and can be helpful in checking if you want to convert your battery to pandora.

Go to the psp seplugins folder.
Create a txt file called vsh.txt or edit the current .txt and insert this line.
ms0:/seplugins/vshmenu.prx 1
This will enable the vsh menu, which can be accessed at the main xmb menu with select, it has some other cool features like screenshot (you can specify which key combination) screen shots are saved to the picture folder with the automatic prefix "Screenshot" followed by the number.
The current backup I have is the fat pandora, this battery fits but needs to be held in place, the only time I use it if the psp gets bricked.
