Homura/ Tales of the Ninja rendering limitation of objects

I noticed the wooden dominoes do not fall when touched and barrels of explosives do not ignite when an explosive hits them.

Also,the falling sliding doors on collision, rain, facial expressions, and even drowning stealth kills are not rendered either.

As I have never played Homura, I can only tell what I have read: Apparently the physics engine will not function as long as there's much going on. If the game realizes that it has an idle CPU it will turn on the physics again.

I've read in a Gamespot forum that in multiplayer, the physics engine can break under constant use, at that point it either lags or characters go flying around.
